Facilities and activities
One of the primary purposes of our fundraising activities is to enable us to buy new equipment so that we can continually improve what we have on offer. This has helped to ensure we have a wide variety of toys and activities to cater to all interests

Indoor play
Children enjoy a balance of adult led and child initiated activities and have opportunities to learn as a whole group, in small groups and individually.
The setting has areas of learning organised for children to access independently, with children allowed to flow between indoor and outdoor areas. They have access to imaginative role play including dressing up and acting out from personal experiences. There are various small world toys, construction, arts and crafts, playdough, cutting and sticking. There is a book corner where children can independently look at a story book and have some quiet time. Lots of mark making activities and writing materials, puzzles and number activities are always on offer.
School visits
The children are regularly invited to Plymtree Primary School where they have the opportunity to mix with Ash class (Reception/ Yr1) and share a story and song. This is excellent for familiarisation of the school and teachers.
Outdoor play
The pre-school benefits from a covered outdoor play area which the children can freely access. There is sand and water play plus a natural barked area for the children to explore and dig. We also use the tennis courts, providing lots of space for bikes, scooters and other outdoor physical activity.
Plymtree Village
We are fortunate to have the village playing fields and park opposite the pre-school which provides further opportunities for getting active outdoors. From Easter Egg hunts to discovering nature, a game of frisbee or just playing with bubbles and letting off some steam, we often make use of our outdoor space.
